This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Tranten Computing LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Karnataka, India (“Tranten”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data obtained through trantencomputing.com (“Website”) and related services.

By accessing the Website or placing an order, you (“you”, “customer”) agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.

This Policy is compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules thereunder.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

1.1 Data You Provide Directly

When you create an account, place an order, or contact Tranten for support, we collect the following personal data:

• Full name
• Delivery address
• Email address
• Phone number
• GSTIN, where voluntarily provided at checkout by business customers

1.2 Data Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, we automatically collect certain technical and behavioural data through the tools listed below. This data is used solely for analytics, performance optimisation, and improving the user experience.

• Google Analytics — collects anonymised data on website traffic, page views, session duration, and user behaviour patterns. Data is processed by Google LLC and governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — collects behavioural data to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and enable targeted advertising on Meta platforms. Data is processed by Meta Platforms Inc. and governed by Meta’s Data Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — collects session recordings, heatmaps, and interaction data to help Tranten understand how users navigate the Website. Data is processed by Microsoft Corporation and governed by Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
• Google Tag Manager (GTM) — used to manage and deploy analytics and tracking scripts on the Website. GTM itself does not collect personal data but facilitates the tools listed above.

You may opt out of analytics and tracking cookies through the cookie consent banner on the Website or by adjusting your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Website functionality.

1.3 Payment Data

Tranten does not collect, store, or process payment instrument data including card numbers, CVV codes, UPI credentials, or net banking details. All payment transactions are handled exclusively by Razorpay Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Razorpay’s data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy at razorpay.com.

1.4 Data We Do Not Collect

Tranten does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that data from a minor has been submitted, it will be deleted promptly. The Website is intended for use by adults only.

2. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION

We collect and process personal data only for the following specific purposes:

• Order fulfilment — processing, dispatching, and delivering your order
• After-sales support — warranty claims, returns, replacements, and refunds
• Customer account management — order tracking, claim history, and account access
• Communication — order confirmations, dispatch notifications, support responses, and service updates
• Marketing communications — promotional emails or WhatsApp messages, where you have opted in (see Section 5)
• Legal and tax compliance — GST invoicing, statutory record-keeping, and regulatory obligations
• Fraud prevention — identifying and preventing misuse of the platform
• Website analytics and performance — improving the user experience through anonymised usage data

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

3.1 Tranten uses your personal data only for the purposes stated in Section 2. We do not use your data for any purpose that is incompatible with the original reason it was collected.

3.2 Tranten does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes.

3.3 Tranten does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on customers.

4. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

4.1 Tranten shares customer data only with the following categories of third parties, strictly on a need-to-know basis:

• Razorpay Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd. — receives transaction reference data required to process and reconcile payments. Does not receive full payment instrument details, which are handled solely within Razorpay’s platform.
• DTDC Express Ltd. — receives the customer’s name, delivery address, and phone number for the purpose of shipment dispatch and delivery.
• Google LLC, Meta Platforms Inc., Microsoft Corporation — receive anonymised or pseudonymised behavioural data through analytics tools as described in Clause 1.2. These tools are governed by their respective privacy policies.

4.2 Tranten does not share personal data with any other third party at this time. Where additional service providers are engaged in future, this Policy will be updated accordingly and customers will be notified.

4.3 Tranten may disclose personal data to government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or courts where required to do so by applicable Indian law, a court order, or a regulatory directive.

5. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

5.1 Tranten may send promotional communications via email or WhatsApp to customers who have opted in to receive such communications.

5.2 Opt-in may occur at the time of account registration, checkout, or through a standalone subscription form on the Website.

5.3 You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

• Clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, or
• Sending an opt-out request to Contact@trantencomputing.com, or
• Updating your communication preferences through your account on the Website

5.4 Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional communications such as order confirmations, dispatch notifications, or support responses, which are sent as part of the service.

6. DATA RETENTION

6.1 Tranten retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, subject to the following statutory requirements:

• Transaction and invoice data — retained for a minimum of 8 years from the date of the transaction, as required under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (CGST Act) and applicable GST rules.
• Customer account data — retained for the duration of the active account relationship. Where an account is inactive and no pending orders, warranty claims, or disputes exist, Tranten will purge personal data upon the customer’s deletion request or after a reasonable period of inactivity.
• Data subject to legal hold — where personal data is relevant to an ongoing legal dispute, regulatory inquiry, or fraud investigation, it will be retained until the matter is fully resolved.

6.2 Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be attributed to an individual.

7. DATA SECURITY

7.1 Tranten implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

7.2 Payment data is never stored by Tranten and is handled exclusively within Razorpay’s PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.

7.3 While Tranten takes data security seriously, no system is entirely immune to breaches. In the event of a data breach that is likely to cause harm to affected individuals, Tranten will notify the affected customers and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDPA 2023.

8. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER DPDPA 2023

As a data principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by Tranten:

• Right to Access — request a summary of personal data Tranten holds about you and the purposes for which it is being processed
• Right to Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
• Right to Erasure — request deletion of your personal data where the purpose of processing has been fulfilled and no statutory retention obligation applies
• Right to Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint with Tranten’s Grievance Officer (see Section 10) and receive a response within the timeframe prescribed under applicable law
• Right to Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise your data rights in the event of your death or incapacity

To exercise any of the above rights, contact Tranten’s Grievance Officer as specified in Section 10.

9. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

9.1 The Website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enable core functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement.

9.2 The categories of cookies used are:

• Essential cookies — required for the Website to function, including session management, cart functionality, and checkout. These cannot be disabled without impairing the Website.
• Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymised data on how visitors interact with the Website. These are opt-in.
• Marketing cookies — used by Meta Pixel to measure ad campaign performance and enable personalised advertising on Meta platforms. These are opt-in.
• Tag management — Google Tag Manager is used to deploy and manage the above tracking scripts. It does not set cookies independently.

9.3 You may manage your cookie preferences through the consent banner displayed on your first visit to the Website, or through your browser’s cookie settings at any time.

Grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt and resolved within 30 days, in accordance with applicable law.

11. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

11.1 Tranten reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in law, business practices, or data processing activities.

11.2 Where changes are material, Tranten will notify registered customers via email or a prominent notice on the Website prior to the changes taking effect.

11.3 The effective date of the current version is displayed at the top of this Policy. Continued use of the Website after an updated Policy has been published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

12.1 This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

12.2 Jurisdiction for any disputes arising under this Policy shall lie exclusively with the courts of Karnataka, India.
